Rise in minimum salary in France

The minimum wage in France, le SMIC, (Salaire minimum de croissance) will go up by 1,1 % from 1st January 2014. The new minimum wage will be 9.53 euros per hour instead of the present  9,43 euros. The minimum fixed monthly salary for a 35 hour week  will rise to  1 445,38 Euros gross, instead of the previous 1 430,22 Euros.
