Bouygues Telecom are offering a special deal to customers, allowing them to make free calls to France from anywhere in Europe, an initiative which is likely to break the present high cost of roaming phone calls.
‘Bouygues Sensation’ will allow users unlimited calls to France and unlimited texts from anywhere in Europe, as well as internet access up to a limit of 3Gb a month, including text messages. Tourists will be able to use geolocalisation to pinpoint cafés, restaurants etc offering wifi etc
The Sensation plans start at EUR 29.99 a month for unlimited calls, SMS and 3GB data.
Holidaymakers will no longer need to switch off their phone’s mobile data setting when they cross a border and can continue to use their favourite apps without fear of an enormous phone bill.
Orange is believed to also be considering including roaming amongst its monthly plans.
