Mail Re-Direction
Hello everyone,
I have just joined the Forum and returned to the region for approx 3 months. I have set up a Royal Mail re-direction but there was a error in the address labels, which I have corrected, but it appears La Poste have been unable to deliver mail to my address.
Would someone know what La Poste would do to incorrectly addressed mail
Would they return to sender or leave at a local Postal Depot which could be retrieved ?
many thanks
Peter

You could try asking them.

Re: Mail Re-Direction
Hi Peter, I think it depends on what the error was. We had issues with a redirection before as the postcode was incorrect, eventually some of the mail arrived but not all. I never quite got to the bottom of where the remaining mail ended up, hope you have better luck!

Thank you for the replies.
La Poste say they return to sender
My redirected mail is now arriving but at least two weeks went missing. I think the fault lies with local sorting depot in the UK but I will probably never find out exactly what happened

Hi.
When we lived in Torreiles we had to renew our (British) passports.
Quite urgent as my dad was seriously ill back in the UK.
Waited ages and eventually went to our local post office to enquire.
They had arrived and were under the counter, quite literally in a shoebox!
Their reason was that our full names were not on our home letterbox.
Maybe your missing letters are at your local post office.
PS for anyone who remembers me. (previously just plain old Polremy)
Due to a password cockup I had to register all over again.
