one-way van hire
I want to shift a small load of furniture from Brussels to Sorede and would like to do so by hiring a one-way self-drive van or estafette. A company called Rent'n'Drop will rent me a 12M3 van from Lille to Perpignan, but no Belgian company offers that service, as far as I can find out. Does anyone know of any cheap and cheerful way of transporting goods over 1200k ? It doesn't even have to be cheerful.
an' the wun' cried Mary.

Cross border drop offs are expensive, as they have to send someone to repatriate the vehicle.
If you are flexible, part load removals are cheap. They wait until they have space, then do a deal. Search google for part loads belgium france
Otherwise post on expat forums for empty vans returning from here to Belgium (or Lille ?)

If you call a French speaking remover - ask first whether they do "groupage Belgique-France" - or search this combination on http://www.google.fr/ . We've had very good experiences with Switzerland-France ... takes longer till they fill their truck with small orders, but much cheaper!mpprh wrote:If you are flexible, part load removals are cheap.
