School holidays in France are organised according to three “holiday zones”, A, B and C,  in order to manage the flow of French holidaymakers.

Our region comes under zone C (Montpellier)

ZONE A

Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon, Poitiers.

4th September 2017 – Rentrée (return to school)
21st October – 6th November 2017 – Toussaint (Autumn half term)
23rd December 2017 to 8th January 2018– Christmas holidays
10th February – 26th February 2018 – February half term term
7th April – 23rd April 2018 – Easter holiday
7th July 2018 – Start of summer holiday

ZONE B

Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Caen, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Reims, Rennes, Rouen, Strasbourg

Créteil, Montpellier, Paris, Toulouse, Versailles.
