Mare Nostrum Musicae


Mare Nostrum Musicae is an international group of professional musicians, based in Catalogne. Francois Ragot  They are supported by the association FCPC (Formations de Chambre des Pays Catalans), and the artistic director is the Ceret-born cellist François Ragot.

The association was formed in 2007 to ensure that people in this region have the opportunity to hear, for an affordable price, classical music played by world class musicians.

 

Sunday March 18th

 

5.30 p.m. in the church of St. Vincent,  Reynes

Cello and viola concert featuring works by J.S. Bach, W. A. Mozart, L.V. Beethoven, R. Clarke, and P. Hindemith.
Seats 12 € (or 10€ for members of the FCPC).

 

Sunday April 1st

 

5.30 p.m. in the church of Ste. Marie; Le Boulou

String quartet ‘Mare Nostrum Musicae’ and the choir of the Serenata of le Boulou, featuring works by Albéniz, Granados and Toldra.
Seats 10 €


Sunday May 6th

 

6 p.m in the church of Céret.

François Ragot leads the Camerata ‘Isaac Albéniz’ of Gerona with the string quartet ‘Mare Nostrum Musicae’.  The programme will include works by Brahms, Albeniz, Sibelius and Josef Suk.
