Join Ian Pendry and Mike Rhodes, two English qualified snowshoe guides on their treks in the back country.

This walk will take place in the hills south of the Col de Creu overlooking the Capcir and will concentrate on examining wild animal tracks and droppings as these are especially clear in winter.

We will also be looking at all types of fauna and flora, visible in winter and the action of wild animals on the trees, plants and shrubs of the region.

This walk is suitable for everyone of all ages and is a great opportunity to learn about the life of wild animals in the winter.

People will need to bring their normal walking clothes, boots, gloves and hat as well as a rucksack to hold their lunch and spare items.

We will be meeting at the Edelweiss garage in Mont Louis at 09.45 and then transferring to the col de Creu in Ian and my vehicles.

The cost will be €35 per person for the day and snowshoes/poles will be provided as will mulled wine and coffee and even maybe a mince pie!
