DESCRIPTION: Sleeping Beauty\nConsidered the cherry on the cake of legendary choreographer Marius Petipa’s career\, the magical fairy tale of the beautiful\, sleeping princess who awaits the kiss of her prince is brought to life by one of Moscow’s finest ballet companies. \nCreated by  Petipa\, former ballet master of the Imperial Ballet\, and accompanied by the music of Tchaikovsky\, this beautiful and romantic ballet is performed amidst lavish costumes\, and  elaborate sets. \nIn 1888\, Tchaikovsky was asked by the Director of the Imperial Theatres in St. Petersburg\, to compose ballet music for Charles Perrault’s La Belle au bois dormant. At the time\, his only previous ballet\, Swan Lake\, had not had good reviews! \nBased around the themes of good versus evil\, the ballet is about the story of Aurora\, who has been cursed since birth by the evil fairy Carabosse.
