DESCRIPTION:La Ronde Cérétane 2026: a weekend of running\, music and Catalan spirit\nLa Ronde Cérétane returns to Céret on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September 2026 for its 42nd edition. \nKnown as one of the South of France’s most festive running events\, the weekend brings together runners\, walkers\, families and spectators for races through Céret and its surrounding countryside. Expect music on the routes\, street entertainment\, food\, a Catalan atmosphere and plenty of encouragement\, whether you are taking part or simply cheering from the sidelines. \nWith distances for every level\, from a 5km run to a 21km course\, as well as an 8km walk and children’s races\, there is something for seasoned runners\, casual joggers and families alike. \n  \n \nThe 2026 programme\nSaturday 19th September\n5pm – La Festive\, 5km \nA lively 5km race for runners aged 13 and over. Fancy dress is very much encouraged\, and prizes are planned for the best costumed participants. \nSunday 20th September\n8.30am to 9.30am – L’Esmorzar\, 8km walk \nA festive\, gourmet 8km walk for experienced walkers\, with around 300 metres of ascent. \n9am – La Mystique\, 21km \nThe main challenge of the weekend: a 21km nature race through the old town of Céret and the surrounding Mediterranean countryside. Open to runners aged 18 and over. \n9.45am – L’Endiablée\, 10km \nA 10km nature race for runners aged 16 and over. \nFrom 10.30am – Els Nens children’s races \nAge-appropriate races for children\, with medals and refreshments for all participants. \n\nPractical information\nRace numbers can be collected at the Gymnase des Tilleuls in Céret on Saturday from 9am to 6.30pm. Sunday collection times vary by event\, so check the organiser’s website before travelling. \nOnline registration closes at 11pm on Thursday 17th September.
