DESCRIPTION:Hallo Everyone\n\nHere we are with the long hot days\, summer visitors for many of us\, and Village fêtes and events everywhere you look. \nCancer Support France will still be operating and we try to always have at least one fully trained volunteer at every drop-in. \nThe CSF Helpline is 0800 240 200 \n\n\nDrop Ins\nN.B. there will be no Drop-in during August in Prades\, but see ‘Looking Ahead’ for September. \n\n\nWednesday 6th August\, Bar le Pablo\, Céret\, 10.30 \n\nCome along for a coffee and a chat. There will be some paperbacks to exchange and friendly faces on the terrace in the shade. \n\nMonday 18th August\, Café des Artistes\, Laroque des Albères\, 10.15 \n\nCome and browse through our large selection of paperbacks. Any books you bring along for exchange will be gratefully received. Sorry\, but we cannot take hardbacks or non-fiction. Bring a friend and stay for a coffee. \n\n\nLooking ahead\nOn Wednesday 17th September CSF PO will be holding a get-together in the Villa Lafabrègue in Prades for all members and friends in the PO. \nEveryone welcome for the cake sale\, coffee\, chat – and a pre-loved jewellery sale. \nCostume jewellery – or otherwise (diamonds are a girl’s best friend?). Maggie asks that you contact her if you have jewellery to donate (in boxes or plastic bags please) so that it reaches Maggie the week before. Or give to your local contact in time for the jewels to reach Maggie. \nAlso let Maggie know if you can bake a cake for this event: sud-maggie@cancersupportfrance.org \nThe Quiz will take place in November. \nFor sale\nCSF have been given a nearly-new adjustable reclining chair in perfect condition. It is available for a reasonable donation to Cancer Support France Sud de France and would need to be collected from Banyuls sur Mer. (New this would cost 500€).
