DESCRIPTION:Hallo Everyone\n\nAfter a beautiful Spring – with almost enough rainfall to cheer nature-lovers – we now have glorious summer ahead of us. Water restrictions are still in place in the Aspres\, but it is encouraging to see the reservoirs and rivers looking healthy\, and even better to see the land greening up. \n\n\nDrop Ins\n\n\nWednesday 4th June\, Bar le Pablo\, Céret\, 10.30 \n\nCome along for a coffee and a chat. There will be paperbacks to exchange and some friendly faces. With luck and sunshine we shall be outside again. \n\nMonday 16th June\, Café des Artistes\, Laroque des Albères\, 10.15 \n\nCome and have a browse through our large selection of paperbacks. Any books you bring along for exchange will be gratefully received. Sorry\, but we cannot take hardbacks or non-fiction. Bring a friend and stay for a coffee. \nNB just for this month\, the Prades Drop-in is on a Thursday \nThursday 19th June\, Villa Lafabrègue Prades\, 10.15 \nCome and have coffee with us at this lovely venue\, and bring a paperback or two to exchange. Penny Parkinson will give an illustrated talk on her recent trip to Southern India. \n\n\nPast events\nThe Open Garden event\, held in a private garden in Fuilla (near Prades) was a great success. On a sunny day the beautiful garden\, and the hospitality of the owners Greg and Barbara\, was much appreciated by around 60 visitors. The hosts’ plant sale and their very generous donation raised a healthy sum for CSF Sud de France. \nLooking ahead\nWatch this space for a new event in September that is in the planning stage. The Quiz will now take place in November. \nAL Supporters needed\nAll our Active Listeners have a supporter who provides a balance of encouragement and challenge. Meeting every six weeks or so\, usually by telephone\, they allow the AL to share any concerns about their client work and to practise their listening skills. Supporters are either experienced ALs or others from a relevant professional background with a good grounding in what CSF is about.
