DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nCSF Walk for Life\nThe annual CSF Walk for Life is just one of many sponsored activities\, all across the country\, in which members and friends of Cancer Support France raise money to fund their valuable work in supporting English-speaking people affected by cancer.  \nIn France the statistics are telling: 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer before their 85th birthday. However\, because of dedicated specialists\, groups and individuals\, over 60% will be cured! \nClick the image to be taken to the Ligue contre le Cancer website\nThe more money we can raise\, the more people we can help.   \nIn the P-O\, this will be a day of activities (and picnics) for all\, based in the lovely village of Oms (not far from Céret). \nThere will be sponsored walks (details below) and dogs on leads will be welcome to walk with their owners. \nAlso on offer will be a (friendly) pétanque tournament\, a gentle stroll around the historic village. Or just come and support the walkers and players\, enjoy your picnic and the festive (sometimes musical) ambiance. \nOn site there will be a bar with modestly priced wine\, beer\, soft drinks\, tea\, coffee and water\, plus home-made cakes and savouries. Also stands with paperback books\, greetings cards\, music CDs and more. \nCancer isn’t fun\, but beating cancer can be!\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text] \n2025 programme\nThe Walk for Life will be in Caixas this year (just above Fourques between Thuir and Céret). \nExplore our lovely region and have some fresh air and exercise. As in previous years\, there will be a choice of two walks or petanque. \nBring your own picnic and enjoy the relaxed ambiance over lunch. For sale there will be beer\, wine\, tea\, coffee\, soft drinks and cakes plus small savouries.
