DESCRIPTION:Enjoy the Christmas spirit with La Chorale Internationale d’Albera\nThe Christmas lights are going up in all the villages around the Albères\, toys and chocolates are filling the shelves of supermarkets and soon restaurants will be taking reservations for Christmas! \nThe music of Christmas is something special. Christmas carols and popular Christmas songs lift our spirits and encourage us to look forward to the festive season. \nSo if it’s l’esprit de Noël (Christmas spirit) you’re searching for this festive period… look no further! \nLa Chorale Internationale d’Albera is proud to announce SIX Christmas concerts coming up. Our programme is full of carols and popular songs from all genres – some that you will recognise and some that will conjure up the past – 60 minutes of pure joy. \nAnd there’s sure to be a concert coming your way – wherever you live! \nProgramme\nSaturday 30th November\, 7.30pm \nMontesquieu des Albères is our first venue of the season. The Chorale is based in this village and every year the Salle Jean Thubert is packed with people who love to hear us sing. Christmas decorations will embrace l’esprit de Noël and a wide screen with pictures and lyrics will complete the scene. Please join us at the bar afterwards for an evening apéro. \nFriday 6 December\, 6.30pm \nNext\, we will be in Laroque des Albères.  If you fancy an apéro around 18h\, climb up the hill and you will find us outside the Restaurant L’Antre Potes. It’s a delightful little area\, just beside the Church St Félix\, and we’ll be ready to sing around 18h30. \nSunday 8th December\, 4pm \nThen we head over to Collioure\, at the Centre Culturel. Last Christmas we sang outside in the Place 18 juin and everyone who came to see us really loved it. We promised to come back and sing again this year but this time we’re inside! Collioure is a special place and we hope to add a bit of magic to the Christmas celebrations. \nSunday 15th December\, 4pm \nThe Chapelle Sainte Marie in Cosprons is one of our favourite venues at Christmas.  This will be our fourth year here and we love to sing in this beautiful old church.  It’s perched on the top of a hill and our voices echo around the village below.  There is a very intimate feeling here when we sing – people are happy and comfortable in this small church setting.  Come and experience if for yourself. \nSaturday 21 December\, 6pm \nOur concert in the town of Céret will be accompanied by a whole host of animations. The Chorale will be in La Place de la République to bring some festive joy to the town. We start around 18h so if you hear us singing\, please come and join us. \nSunday 22nd December\, 5pm \nThe Salle des Fêtes in Sorède will be the venue for our last concert of the season. With Christmas almost upon us\, this will be a good time for a pause in all the preparations.
