While many neighbouring coastal towns have been developed to host the growing number of tourists\, le Racou still retains its traditional seaside resort feel. \nStroll down the “main street” and find saucy postcards\, buckets and spades\, shabby chic bars and cafés\, a tiny boulangerie full of local treats… \nThen cut through the renovated exile huts to the soft sandy beach and the sparkling blue Med. \nFind out more about le Racou’s history here. \n \nThe Festival….\nCelebrate the arrival of spring at the Foire des producteurs et éleveurs des Albères  returning for its 23rd edition on Sunday 19 April at Valmarie car park in Le Racou. \nThis popular event brings together around 30 local producers\, offering a wide range of regional specialities including cheeses\, honey\, seasonal fruit and vegetables\, Roussillon wines\, cured meats\, olive oil\, bread\, local beers and more. Visitors can meet producers directly and discover the stories behind their products. \n \nMore than just a market\, the fair transforms the seafront into a lively open-air farm.
