La Perpinyane

‘LA PERPINYANE’ consists of various events, ranging from nordic walk circuits and family fun runs to departmental qualifying races which attracts athletes from around the world.

The semi marathon is not on the programme this year, but if you fancy a challenge, why not get involved with the highly competitive 10km?

This year, the start line is back in central Perpignan (as opposed to the Carré D’Or shopping centre at Château Roussillon). Join the race, or wave of the participants, at place de la Résistance, just in front of the Castillet.

There will be plenty of support on offer, including massages, treatments, nutritional counseling, diabetes screening tests….

Children can run riot on the purpose-built obstacle course and there will of course be the usual music and entertainment.

All profits from these races will go to charitable organisations. Over the 13 years that this event has taken place, the Lion’s Club have donated over 200,000€.

This year, proceeds will be donated to help support families of children in need, injured soldiers and the blind.

Even if you don’t need the exercise, why not come along and support the courageous competitors and a worthy cause during this sporting and humanitarian event where there will be stands, music and a great atmosphere of solidarity!
