DESCRIPTION:As the season begins to shift and the first signs of spring appear\, Duo Canticel invite you to share a special musical moment with their “Ballade Printanière” — an opening concert that celebrates light\, warmth\, and renewal through music. \nTaking place on Sunday 8th March at 4pm\, in the beautiful village church of Leucate\, this concert promises an exceptional acoustic experience in a setting that is both intimate and welcoming. \nRenowned for their expressive performances\, Catherine Dagois (contralto) and Edgar Teufel (organ) will present “Chants de Lumière”\, a carefully curated programme drawn from their latest album. This collection brings together personal favourites and deeply inspiring pieces\, filled with emotion and human warmth. \nThe programme includes the gentle beauty of well-loved Ave Maria works\, alongside a unique vocal adaptation by Edgar of the “Sérénade” from Isaac Albéniz’s Suite Espagnole. Audiences can also enjoy the rhythmic energy of a Fandango by Boccherini\, as well as new additions to their repertoire\, including two powerful spirituals performed as a contralto and bass duet. \nDesigned as a true prelude to spring\, this concert offers an uplifting and luminous musical journey\, one that invites reflection\, connection\, and a sense of renewal. \nEntry is free with voluntary contribution\, making it accessible to all.
