DESCRIPTION:Ciné plein air\nWith the lingering threat of Covid 19\, and on a brighter note\, the warm summer evenings\, now is the perfect time to enjoy cinema under the stars! \nEvery Thursday from 16th July to 13th August (except 30th July)\, combine the big screen with the open air in the cour de l’Arsenal of the Insitit Jean Vigo in Perpignan. \nSit back and watch family-friendly\, cult films from the 50s to today\, projected onto the big screen as night falls\, with the majestic Casa Musicale as a backdrop. \nKick-start the evening at 8pm with a pre-programme screening of images of old Perpignan from the Institut’s archives… and other surprises! \nThen\, under the lanterns\, enjoy the main feautre from 10pm with tasty treats and refreshments (including\, of course\, pop corn!) available from the food truck and stalls on site. \nTickets only 5€ – to be reserved in advance (see links below)\n\n\n\nVOSTFR\nAll films are shown in VO (version original = original language in which it was filmed) with STFR (sous-titres français = French subtitles)\n\n\n\nProgramme\nThursday 16th July: Les Demoiselles de Rochefort\, Jacques Demy\, France\, 1967 \nTwo sisters leave their small seaside town of Rochefort in search of romance. DESCRIPTION:Festa Major de Prats de Mollo la Preste\nThe festa major is a Catalan summer celebration where towns come together in the streets for fun\, food and good (socially distanced) company. \n\n\n\nThe festival has been given a tentative go ahead but the final programme will depend on government advice following the Covid 19 sanitary crisis. Contact the Office de Tourisme for updates closer to the time.\n\n\n\nThe festa major in Prats de Mollo is a traditional celebration\, beginning with Mass and blessings at 10.30am in the Eglise Saintes Juste et Ruffine. \nThen the crowds spill out into the streets for street music and entertainment from local Cobla Tres Vents at midday. \nTie it in with lunch in one of the local restaurants to bring the energy levels up\, ready to enjoy more street music at 5pm followed by traditional Sardane dancing in front of the church at 9pm. \n\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\nWhy not check out the festa major in Banyuls sur Mer too?\n
