Re: Eurostar to Avignon

reply to Alan re Eurostar to Lille. Yes it is still possible to take Eurostar to Lille and then travel on to Perpignan. On 3rd March this year we travelled from Dunbar to London then took Eurostar to Lille. As we had set off early from Scotland we stayed overnight at Lille Europe Hotel then took the...

Re: Suspending Orange Internet during Covid 19 lockdown

I had thought of cancelling completely but as it had taken a year to set it up originally I did not want to go down that road again. Orange kept insisting that there was no internet in St. Cyprien (the person I was dealing with was in an office in Paris) and that I would need to contact the Mayor as...

Suspending Orange Internet during Covid 19 lockdown

I had an online chat with Orange requesting a suspension of my Orange Internet, stating that as it will be some considerable time before we can visit our place in St. Cyprien, (we are in Scotland), we would wish to suspend the Internet for say 9 months (costs 36.99 euro per month). The answer was No...

EDF reducing monthly payments

We received our new monthly payment schedule from EDF but due to covid 19 it looks like we will be unable to visit our place in St. Cyprien for some considerable time, (being of a certain age) it looks like we may well be kept in isolation for longer than others. I had an online chat with EDF and th...

We normally pay this by sending a cheque but as the amount this year is over 300 euro we want to pay by prelevement. We have returned the tear off slip at the bottom of the bill which had "Adhesion au Prelevement" printed on it. We attached our Bank details and signed the paper and returned in the e...

If you are looking for a Physio who speaks English I highly recommend Michel Trzonkowski at his new location which is near to the new Lidl. Can anyone advise on what is the most up to date position about carrying two breathalysers in the car in France. Did it ever become law for residents/tourists? is it enforced? if so what is the penalty for not having them? To be on the safe side we always carry two.
