Another important consideration for us was which food you prefer! I much prefer French food and eating times, Spanish are very late, tho you probably adjust if you’re living here all the time. We pop over the border regularly, but don’t regret buying on the French side.

We used SME in St Genis des Fontaines. They were efficient and reasonably priced and we have had no problems with our new garage door.

Clic clac uk to France

I’ve used A1 UK and European couriers a couple of times. They’re based in Halifax but travel between UK and France/Spain most weeks. Very efficient and happy to do part loads.

You no longer need to go to the préfecture to re-register, if you go to your local mairie they will give you a form which lists all the different pieces of paper required. Indian spices

There is a small shop on the edge of the main market square in Figueres which sells all manner of dried fruits, nuts and spices. These can be purchased by whatever weight you require. Sorry, don't know name of it, but not too far away.

Van required for couple of hours

I need to hire a van or hire someone with a van asap for a couple of hours to transport 2 single beds and a coffee table from Collioure to Villelongue dels Monts. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
