Bordeaux....

Hi, Bit of a long shout and I know out of the PO area - but I have faith in the wide-spread connections and knowledge of our PO-ers. Next year, from about June 6, 2020 for about a week, there is a World Veteran Table Tennis Tournament in Bordeaux. My partner and I are playing in it. About 5,000 play...

Thanks for advice. We are watching it on French TV, but there is only so much interest I have in French fencers - been trying to follow the GB table tennis players. Also following on FrenchTVSports which is excellent - although not 'as live'. We're getting there. Thanks for the help.

Hi, I'm flying in to Perpignan flight on the (from) Birmingham, arr at 18.10 on Tuesday Aug 2, then going to Argeles beach (or ville would be fine). Wondering if there is anyone in a similar position so we could share a lift or a taxi. (Just me, no luggage or baggage)
Thanks

Table Tennis tournament

Hi, Anyone fancy their chances at a bit of ping pong? The Argeles Club runs a couple of fun 'open' tournaments a year. Standard varies tremendously from casual holiday ping-pongers, to pretty decent club players. Everyone gets a few games and it's a pleasant sociable evening. http://www.argeles-tenn...

The beach area of Argeles-sur-Mer definitely alive in summer and sleeps in winter. But the actual village of Argeles-sur-Mer (about 1km inland from the beach) has more of a 12 month feel about it.

Hi, Would be interested to know if anyone else has experienced card cloning issues this year or it is a weird co-incidence? I have been close to three separate incidents this summer; including my mother and a friend. Briefly, three cards, two people, three banks, (2 British banks/cards, one French b...

Hi, Despite the title of this forum I am neither hi tech nor geeky, so please bear with me if I ask questions which have already been answered. They public pool at Argeles is by the rugby field at Gaston Pams. (I wasn't sure it was indoors though) Also has a decent sports centre. However, last time I was there, about a month ago, there was a lot of building work going on in the complex so not sure if the pool is available at the moment.

Many thanks for all the kind offers of assistance in such a short period of time. We all seem united in our quest not to pay more to Ryanair than needed. As Sue is a fellow Argelesian, she is on the doorstep. I have PM'ed you.

Once again, great support and thanks for the offers.

Printer in Argeles - Ryanair tickets!

Hi, Hope someone can help me out. Went to the Argeles internet cafe today to print out the Ryanair tickets for flight on Thursday. Printer is kaput and likely to stay out of action for a while. Birds, traps and restaurants

Odd post this so not sure where to put it. We have some very tame ring neck doves which sit on our balcony. Just looked over it and the restaurant below looks like it has set up a trap and one of the young lads was trying to tempt them down, with a knife in his hand. (think they might have caught on...

Thanks for your advice. Not all went to plan. So when it did eventually get to the gare routiere, she had missed ...

Beziers trains and planes

Anyone caught the navette from Beziers train station to airport. My sister is doing this tomorrow. Train arrives Beziers at 2.22, navette departs at 2.30. Anyone know if it is possible for a non-Usian Bolt to do it in eight minutes?

Cheers
