Barking dogs

Hi all We have a neighbour who ties his dog to a tree and then goes out for the whole day - The dog is obviously bored and barks all day - when I say he barks all day that is barking continuously every minute of every hour, all day To me this is abuse of an animal and causing a nuisance to neighbour...

that is great - nice computer ! - it will easily run El Capitain but I recommend adding more RAM - it is easy to do yourself or I can do it for you for free (will only take 5 mins) generally the more RAM the better and it will certainly speed up your web browsing etc you can get it from amazon http:...

I'm rather concerned to see people recommending these "clean up" apps - you don't need them - at best they don't do much and at worst they are a security risk, especially if they are not downloaded from Apples App store The best thing you can do to speed up your mac is a "clean install" of the lates...

well you will all no doubt be happy to hear that Allan and I have (privately) agreed a truce - a bit of blame on both sides but hey none of us are perfect ...anyway back on the subject of viruses, malware and trojans. I think it is important to make a distinction between these as it helps the user t...

No viruses have so far been detected 'in the wild' that can affect Mac OS X. I use a virus scanner so that I don't pass on any infected files to other computer users Mac people are good that way  What Allan is probably thinking of are trojans and malware, that certainly can affect a Mac - peop...

Yosemite is a really good upgrade - don't worry about installing it.
If you are using McAfee tho I would get rid of it (if you can) the programme is close to being malware itself - there are free virus scanners like ClamXav which stay out of your way

I use these guys - http://www.cheapprinterink.co.uk

I buy their refillable cartridges and refill myself - it is sometimes a bit messy but the savings are huge.
If you do a lot of printing then their continuous feed system is even more economical

works out equivalent to @50p / cart

Filmon seems to be pretty poor on both my Android and my XBMC box since the last update - lots of buffering on Android and periods of not working on FTV for XBMC (openelec)

(I pay the subscription and am logged in on both)

I hope they sort it out soon

All of your files will transfer but there is no way back. Once you've opened your spreadsheets or documents on a Mac, Apple own you from then on.
