Sorry to hear about your ankle, I broke my left ankle twice in 2 years. On both occasions the kiné had to come to the house after the plaster came off to treat me before they would allow me to go to their surgery. Last time the recovery was very long and I have a brilliant kiné, but unfortunately do...

The Tramontane can be a real problem. A friend of ours who is a GP here said that it is a fact that there are more domestic accidents and some children become hyper-active during the period of the Tramontane. ( I can confirm the children bit, as years ago, I taught English in a school in Toulouges a...

I can assure you that it is not in my nature to be rude or ignorant which is why it upsets and hurts me when people treat me with disrespect when it is uncalled for. However, my fiery Spanish husband won't take rubbish from anybody and seems to get things done with more respect and manners than I do...

I'm another one who apologises when it's not my fault, an example being the person in front letting a door swing in my direction because they are too ignorant to hold it open for you and i've apologised!!!!!!!! Or making my sons hold doors open for stampeding crowds who just push their way past with...

I'm not sure Kate. I did have an incident just after Christmas with the Banque Populaire in Perpignan who hung up on me, mid-way me explaining my problem. I immediately phoned back and touched on the most pleasant and helpful lady who couldn't do enough for me! On the other side of the coin in Aucha...

I bought an electric tooth brush in Jan (not reduced) but faulty!I returned it, they gave me a 'bon' which I used to buy the same model. After one week it started to have the same problem as the previous one. When I returned it today they not only refused to credit my account but were rude, includin...

We had to cancel Ryanair flights last year due to me a breaking an ankle. We claimed on our gold bank card (Banque Populaire) and it was a hassle! Opas, considering we don't live that far away from each other the weather is very localised. Although it rained here this afternoon it wasn't that cold. We are only 1 km from Thuir but sometimes it is raining here and not there or vice versa, also sometimes cars are iced up in one and not the other!!!

We are being driven crazy since the beg of Jan with these calls which start as early as 8am! Bacalao is usually served in Spain in a tomato based sauce, roasted with garlic or shallow fried, not in batter.
