We are going on the yellow train and stopping off at Font-Romeu. We are not skiing but are wondering is there much else to do there? we have about 4 hours to look around.

Take the cable car from the town to Les Airelles and go on a dog sled ride
Eat a fondue or raclette in any of the mountain food restaurants.

Don't forget it is a good half hour walk up into town.So it is important to remember that when you make your plans. Also I think the cost is cheaper at the moment on the train.

A shuttle bus goes from the train station at Font Romeu up to the town, as far as I know, and it goes past the solar energy centre (Four Solaire) on the way. The centre is visitable.

or just google four solaire font romeu for other links
