For the first time in ages we will actually be in France for Bastille day.

Any suggestions on where we might go, does anybody do anything other than feu d'artifice?

Thanks

A few here

but whilst there may be fireworks practically everywhere, there are many different things going on before the fireworks......live music, dancing. It's an evening where you can usually just walk out of your house if you're in a village or town and find something happening!

I've just come off the phone with my son. He says he saw something, somewhere, about a Bastille Day event in the PO where they have a procession through the village with human fireworks. I think he meant "carrefocs".

Does anybody know anything about it? Sounds a bit different.
