Camprodon Sunday market

Post by Sus »

Couldnt find a previous posting about this market so wanted to share the info. There is a beautiful Sunday morning market in Camprodon. It is a bit of a drive depending where you are coming from, but the drive alone is already worth it, taking the D115 to Prats and then up to Col d'Ares. The views are amazing and the drive is fun providing you like curvy mountain roads.

The other side is a fast descent, firstly to Mollo and then Camprodon. I usually get there about 10ish. There are great places for a morning coffee and the small market has a great selection of vegs and fruit as well as clothing and household goods. Camprodon also has a fantastic selection of smaller shops for wine, any type of chacuterie and fromage. The town itself is also very picturesque. The market closes by 1-2pm, just in time to have a leisurely lunch, menu del dia are around 15.

Anybody into road cycling, there are some fantastic routes around the area, not much flat but you can easily test your mountain legs and be overtaken by all the slick Spanish cyclists.

It is helpful to speak some Catalan/Spanish as there is not that much French spoken and I have never heard any English.
