Post by admiral »

Once you are in Vernet, you just follow the signs to Casteil. It's on the Michelin road atlas. Have you tried looking on Google maps?

As you come into Vernet, keep right at the roundabout to skirt the town. Then just keep straight on.

When you are in Casteil you will pass the road to the Refuge du Maraille on the right then the path to the Abbey on the right. A short distance further there is a little car park on the left.

The walk to the Abbey will get the ticker going!

How long is the walk? I had a delivery there and someone on the path said twenty minutes. I didn't make the delivery lol. Is it twenty minutes?

40 minutes for us in August. The best end to a walk you could imagine. If anyone has read "the Historian" there is a thinly disguised description of the monestry.

Vernet -> Casteil as described just follow the signs. Parking is easy

It is a lovely walk to the abbey but to make a delivery? They have vehicles going up and down the path themselves .
