perps to gerona

Post by polremy »

Thought the fancyman might prefer a bit of history stuff in Gerona.
How the hell do you manage to book a train ticket?
SNCF won't recognise Gerone!!
We could get a Frogbus from the Gare SNCF (50euros for the two of us return) but then would have to get yet another bus to the centre of Gerona.
Just wondered how much a train ticket would be but can I find out? No.
Aidez-moi por favor!
Merci.

I tried that website, Sav, with the spelling: Girona and it worked.
Got the timetable - the train leaves 10 minutes before our bus would arrive at the station!!
Could I manage to find the price of a ticket? Non - message that they didn't recognise the name of the station.
Zut alors or worse!
Think I'll just stay at home and wait for Percy and drink myself to death.

Hi polremy :)

It should give you fare details, try again a bit later ;)

Prices seem to vary depending on whether you want to change trains at Port Bou or go for the direct one from Perpignan to Girona. One seems to be about 10 Euros - the other is about 31

Here's the link anyway with some dates I entered just to get an idea of costs.
It needed Girona (ES) to work.

I like a travel challenge!

Thanks, Helen and Sav.
Three hours seems a very long time to get to Girona (ES) to save 21 euros.
Will have a think!
