Interesting reading Peter. We are near the tunnel through to Spain and the landscape is ever changing. Looking at the rate of progress I will be surprised if it is finished by the 2009 deadline.

In today's Independant (local newspaper in Perpignan) and there's a photo of the French and Spanish officials were toasting for the breach of the tunnel - France from Spain.

I didn't get to read the article, since others snagged the newspaper first but it's the idea that the tunnel is done.
