Our insurer, Generali, have kindly sent us a reminder that our Contrôle Technique will soon be due on one of our cars. They say that if we go to a Securitest centre, they have negotiated a 10% reduction for their clients. Is there any point in shopping around, or is there a set fee for a CT? In the latter case, we may as well go to Securitest for the discount

My understanding is that it's a fixed fee,Sue.
So I suppose it's the old story as to where "Securitest" happens to be. As the price is only about 60€ ,your 10% would soon be swallowed up if you had to traipse miles to your nearest Securitest.
We just use the nearest one in Ceret (Dekra) and have done with it.
