I want to change up a lump of money and wondered would I better of changing English money in France somewhere and getting a better rate

Other than that I normally just use one of those money transfer company's that I have used before
Just wanted to get the best rate possible

i have always found the 'PayPal' exchange rate (even allowing for their 4% 'ish commission) pretty competitive.... Changing cash in France at a normal bank etc. will be very poor, might be worth looking at the Banque de France???
Otherwise maybe finding a 'private arrangment' might be the best where the rate is split both ways!!!

I haven't used RationalFX before, so I just registered and got a quote for £5000, then did the same with Moneycorp and HiFX.

The rates against a Eurobank rate of 1.2018 were:
RationalFX 1.1840 (5920 euros)
Moneycorp 1.1776 (5888 euros)
HiFX 1.1874 (5937 euros)

All this within 5 minutes in a flat market.

I usually use Moneycorp, but I think I'll do a bit more shopping around!

Cheers,

Chris
