IBAN Code
My Spanish bank account has the two letter country code then 22 numbers.La Banque Postal has an extra 4 two of which are letters.Is this normal for French accounts?I've trawled the internet but can't find any info

Do the 2 extra letters stand for La Poste or Banque Postal? I have just checked my caisse epergne acc, it only has the figuration your Spanish acc has for the RIB, but also has the code banque, acc, cle etc and has CE Languedoc at the end(caisse epergne)

France uses a 27 character IBAN number in the format
FRkk bbbb bggg ggcc cccc cccc cxx
Spain uses a 24 character IBAN number in the format
ESkk bbbb gggg xxcc cccc cccc
where :-
b = National bank code
g = Branch code
c = Account number
x = Check digits
