We have a little French and I would like to open bank account can anyone advise if there's any banks in Thuir area that have English speaking customers advisers

It's not Thuir but Pascale Philogen, at BNP in Ceret, speaks English and is extremely helpful.

You could ask at the CIC branch in Thuir. I bank at the Av. Geo. Guynemer branch in Perpignan and most of the staff speak excellent English.

Try Credit Agricole Britline. Been with them for 11 years, no problem. English spoken perfectly!

In this day and age I wonder why a bank needs to be local? I bank with Barclays in Montpellier and in 8 years I have never had the need to visit the branch.
Everything is managed online or by email and all conversations are in English.
They are very responsive and send all correspondence with an English translation.
