We are currently attempting to carry out a tax declaration for 2010, our first attempt. We obtained our 2042 form from the Ceret Tax Office. You can also obtain a similar form on line via the Government website. It may be that you put the wrong year in when you searched for the form. Try leaving the year box empty, this should give you the current form for 2010.

I've had the same problem with the website - so I just went to the tax office to pick up the form. You could try asking them to send it to you.

Mine came together with the preremplie, but both separately from the pink one. I'm wondering how we'll go on this year, declaring online, as we have made a purchase which will give rise to a credit d'impot. Have yet to look into how to declare that online. Not strong enough today

We have had 2047 but not 2042. I assume from what Sue says this will arrive seperately, is this correct. What conversion rate is being used this year?

For the last 2 years I have simply added together the euros amounts which have gone into our bank account from UK pensions, and this has been accepted.

Any income already in euros clearly doesn't need converting.

Before that, I used to phone the impots for the exchange rate to implement, and they often didn't know.

I seem to remember one year that I got the amount from the Connexion paper, or similar. All a bit woolly!

Thanks for that Sue. What about the Blue 2042 form does that come in the post separate from the Pink 2047.

I'm using the figures from here: http://www.x-rates.com/d/EUR/GBP/hist2010.html
This gives an average for the year of 1.166.

Thanks Russell. Went to Ceret yesterday and picked up a form. Was told to hang on as long as poss and use the postal one rather than the one I picked up. (Well I think that is what he said)!

I called by Les Impots at perpignan on Monday and collected the form I need. I was in and out within minutes, though it was only just after their opening at 08.30 , I dont think I would have been that quick at 10.00am
