Good quality bed linen

Post by joffan »

I am currently looking for some good quality bedding for my holiday let. White linen, preferably. Any suggestions where would I find something in the Prades/Perpignan area?

John Lewis online or M&S in Paris.

Metro won't sell to you unless you have a hotel/restaurant SIRET number.

Metro accept entry to UK Makro card holders.

Presumably also to German Metro card holders etc.

I have a UK Makro card, do you know if can I use it in the food department at Metro or just the non-food bit?

From what I recall they didn't have a food section. I haven't been for a while. Metro is not completely like Makro.

It's probably worth checking as Metro sold Makro UK in July this year and now has no connection with them

I have a metro card somewhere, I have never used it. The reason being is that when I registered for one and put my siret number ,it corresponds to cleaning sevices. Metro then sent me a card for Montpellier!
When I quereied it at perpignan they said my siret does not allow me to buy food on my business.....even though I argued that I buy welcome packs which include wines/cheeses etc. metro Perpignan do sell cleaning products and kitchen wares , cannot vouch for bedding though.

I bought linen in Auchan as an interim solution. The quality is quite good in the high end range.

Thanks for the ideas. The problem with UK linen is replacing it and the sizes are not compatible.

From their website:
"5. Frequently asked questions
Do you offer international delivery?

Unfortunately, at this time, we do not deliver to international addresses."

Have they changed their policy and not updated the website?

Russell.

Apologies they deliver clothing internationally and I must have just assumed they did likewise for bedding.

the Petit Bazaar/ le poc de tot a shop on the left hand side of the road coming into Amelie les Bains, this shop does GREAT RECTANGULAR PILLOWS good quality and also wash well. The owners Patrick and Sylvie have these made in Perpignan due to the demand from English clientele, if you speak to them they are usually more than happy to source an item for you. They both speak English, Sylvie fluently.
