Gadgets for disability

Post by Pearsonb »

I have quite bad diabetic neuropathy and I have problems with my hands.

For a while, I have used a plastic gadget that I bought on Amazon to help me open bottles and jars. However, things are getting worse and I now have problems putting on socks, doing and undoing buttons and opening the plastic sheets you find covering various foodstuffs.

Does anybody know if there is a specialist shop in the area which sells this type of gadget?

Thanks.

http://goldviolin.blair.com/

This web site probably have the items you want but it's on the internet and not in Perpignan. Have a look and see if it's useful things they sell.

Try www. blancheporte.fr
They have all sorts of gadgets and you may find what you are looking for if you can not find a shop as such.

I'm not sure if you've found something yet but I found a few more items. First, the Gold Violin I mentioned before if located in the US. I sent an email to see if they sell in France but sofar, I don't have an answer.

Next, the pharmacist gave a booklet about various items they can order. Some of the items might be of help for you. Check with your pharmacist and see if he has the booklet.

Another site is called www.tempsl.com . This place sells many different items of which might help.

I'll writwe a bit more ~ I'm on a notebook and I cannot write with this machine.
