Landrover Discovery parts

Post by sue and paul »

Please does anyone know where there is a supplier of parts for elderly Landrover Disco, specifically a cylinder head gasket. The fix-it meister aka Paul can do the job, so we're not looking for main dealer or repair garage, just a supplier of auto-pièces. Have tried Auto Pièces on Ave Flamants Roses, Argeles, and phoned a place in Le Boulou who recommended Alliance Automobile Le Boulou, but they're not picking up the phone today. We don't mind going to Perp if necessary in the New Year après les fêtes. Ideas?

Have you looked online at UK suppliers, postage is usually only a couple of days, in the past we have bought full exhaust, clutches and a gear box online so I am sure a cylinder head gasket is easy.

Another place is PAPA I think it is route due prades or thuir near sud music if that helps.

Thanks O. We do know a supplier in UK who will post to us, but we have a reason to want to fix it before mid-January, and we think the gasket might not arrive in time. Will try Papa after the fetes, thanks

Thanks for all your help.

We've now ordered online from Paddocks, Matlock, Derbyshire (sticking with what we know). They only charge £5 to post a whole set of gaskets here, so with the (much) lower price than we see on French sites, for authentic parts, it works out cheaper. Disco is now dismantled ready for fitting as soon as it arrives. Meanwhile Frank will be missing his 'mobile kennel'

HAPPY NEW YEAR !
