English advice

Post by Mikeyboy »

My partner and I are moving down to the area in March and will be running a small bed and breakfast. We are looking for an English speaking accountant and perhaps some advice on which tax system is best for this kind of business. I have read about the Auto Entrepreneur which seems fairly straighforward but is this right one for us?
Many thanks

The rules surrounding the taxation of gites and B&Bs are changing. I think it will depend on your predicted revenue. You should probably contact an accountant or perhaps the Chambre de Metiers. There are people on here who run B&Bs who might be able to help more than me.

Note that French accountants are expensive and generally see their function as making sure you obey the laws rather than trying to save you money.

Hi,

I run a B&B. I have sent you a pm with my details if you want to contact me for a chat. I don't know of an English speaking accountant.
