In the UK there is a company called Red Letter Days that sells experiences as gifts. E.g. drive a racing car or learn falconry.

Does anyone know of any similar organisation here?

If you go to Auchan (and plenty of other places but this is the only one I'm absolutely sure of) they have gift vouchers for all sorts of different activities on sale by the info desk. Think its mainly theatre etc but they do sometimes have some more original stuff.

It´s called Wonderbox, available in supermarkets. Our children have given them to us, and my husband´s just had one for pilotage.
