Are there Humming Birds in the Alberes area??? I spotted what I thought was a hornet, in the garden, with an inch long probiscus, collecting nectar!

On closer inspection it was not a hornet, so what was it?????? It was about an inch and a half long, and had the smallest of 'tails'

Any suggestions, please??

It was probably the humming bird hawk moth!
