We have used this service as well but there are a few caveats.

The 30KG limit isn't necessarily 30KG, they have a formula that relates to the size of the package as well as the weight.

We had a parcel sent from the UK with some food items not available here. Despite being well packed, a jar of pickled onions broke. This brought the whole thing to a halt and the parcel sat for 10 days in the Perpignan depot.

Eventually they asked us for a list of contents to see if the damaged item was covered by insurance, it then took a lot of persuading that we weren't bothered - we just wanted it delivered.

Having said that, every other consignment has gone well

No, hasn't arrived.
Presume it will be Monday now and that Sunday is a day of rest.
Was just going to ask you - can we safely go out tomorrow do you think without worrying that they were trying to deliver and have returned it to Denmark!!!!!

If you aren't in, they'll leave an avis de passage either saying they'll deliver Tuesday or they have left it at the local Post Office.

Dear Mum and Dad,
It is really good here in Kopenhagen.
So good in fact that I have decided to stay on for another night.
Beer's a bit expensive though.
Love,
Percy the Parcel

I have also used this service only last week and would highly recommend it. I haven't read all the posts so far so forgive me if I'm repeating what other people have said but it does state on their website that goods packed should be able to withstand being dropped from hand height. This explains the unfortunate fate of the pickled onions - I think jars are probably a no no.

Ah - very misleading. Does that mean my hand height (about 3 foot) or, say, my friend Andy's hand height (about 6 foot)?

Aren't we getting confused with Percy the Pickled Onion here?

Perhaps he fancied a pickled onion with the pints of Carlsberg and Tuborg he's no doubt quaffing in one of those funny bars down the Nyhavn ?

Didn't there used to be a film called Percy about a man who tries to find the owner of his willy transplant - or have I gone a bit heavy on the pre-apero apero??

No Kate, you are not imagining it.

A true cinematic masterpiece. Real art ,right up there with the work of Fellini and that other Italian bloke......
