Where can I get a piper and haggis?

Something to say that doesn't fit anywhere else? Voilà!

Where can I get a piper and haggis?

Post by Allan »

I will shortly be organising a whisky tasting evening for charity.

I would like to add some atmosphere, anyone know where I can get a piper? Preferably at no cost.

I would also like to offer haggis and other Scottish fare in the form of small tapas. Anyone got any ideas?

I don't know if MacSweens (here
http://www.macsween.co.uk/products/)
run to haggis tapas. But if they don't, I don't know who mght. And their haggis, even the vegetarian version, is pretty much ok.

As for the piper, good luck. There's an old gag about the definition of a "gentleman": someone who knows how to play the pipes, but doesn't.

I see that it's now coming off. I was curious enough to discover that McSween's do indeed do haggis canapés, which I guess might do if you can't find tapas. Good luck, wherever you found your haggis. Though past my bedtime.

Thank you for your good wishes.

The Haggis was donated by British Corner Shop.
