Old computers looking for new homes!
I have three venerable computers that can each be had for a small (say €20) donation to Cancer Support France - Sud de France. All are from about 2006/7.
All have been stripped of the awful Windows operating system and replaced with lightweight Linux systems.
Two are laptops; one is a Dell with c. 250mb RAM, 37GB disc, and an English (QWERTY) keyboard; the other is an Acer with c. 188mb RAM, 25GB disc and a French (AZERTY) keyboard. Both laptops have power supplies but not working batteries.
The third system is a tower with c. 1025mb RAM, 74GB disc and no keyboard or screen.
None of the systems has a WiFi card installed but all can support a USB WiFi stick and wired ethernet.
They are probably best used by someone wanting to play with Linux on a spare system.
I am happy to give telephone or email help if necessary.
Sadly, if no-one wants them, they are destined for the scrapyard (since I have 6 other computers and not enough space!).
