UK Driving licence categories
I recently moved to Blagnac from the UK, May 2020, I've been considering buying a 125cc scooter for fun and trips to work. I dont have a 1A category UK licence, how can I add this category so I can drive the said scooter & if I managed to update my licence can I legally ride a 125cc bike and for how long before I have to site my bike test.

If you are permanently resident in France, you will need to exchange the UK license for a French one.

How do I exchange my driving licence, I've only lived in Blagnac since May 2020, I keep being told I can't change my licence because of Brexit

You can go to your sous-préfecture in Blagnac and enquire or look at service publique.fr. Do you know if you are permanently resident in France you will need a carte de séjour? Lots of useful info on RIFT, Remain in France Together - FB. (you´ll be required to answer some questions to join the group)

Re: UK Driving licence categories
When l first browsed this site before officially joining, there was a FB user group dedicated to driving permits in France.
Think it was "Kim" and/or someone else who were administrators of this?
I tried to join at the time, nada from Kim which l found quite rude, but then hey ho, such is life.
Dammed if l can now find it. Has anyone out there a link to this user group?
Anyway l digress.......
I suppose l am lucky, if you can call it that, 'cos my UK licence has three years on it to run.
Maybe the UK will get their fingers out and sort this reciprocal debacle.
I've read some REALLY distressing stories about people who are now stranded here, their UK licences have expired, and cannot leave.
Is anyone else out there in this same situation?
Regards
