Gardening tips
Hi
I'm a very amateur gardener determined to get my garden in order this year. Can anyone recommend a good French monthly gardening magazine to assist with the planting and maintenance of a potager and with planting borders with flowering plants and shrubs suited to the Mediterranean climate. Any advice on forums too would be welcome.
Thanks very much in advance.

The problem I find with the magazines, Pichicuy, is that they are really focussed on the northern area of France.
My best advice is to make friends with your neighbours - particularly the older, local ones - and ask their advice. THAT is worth it's weight in gold!
Whilst, obviously, I KNEW there was a difference between here and the UK, I hadn't appreciated it would be so large.
Ask the old locals, in my experience, they love to help!
Good luck - and keep us posted!

Our best experience of garden centres in the PO for variety and price was this one!
Le Clos des Palmiers (They've changed their name, it seems..)
(Activité :jardineries, végétaux, articles de jardin)
av du Palais des Expositions chem du Mas Taillant
66000 PERPIGNAN
tél-fax : .04 68 80 53 35
Very close to the Palais des Expositions - just off the roundabout taking direction Bompas.
They import their (old) olive trees and palms from southern Spain and you notice it in the prices!!
Best to go and have a browse around their extensive exterior grounds!
You can ask advice there - all the staff are (at least were when we were last there 3 years ago -
heavens, how time flies!!) very helpful for things like information on planning a potager (kitchen garden)
and seasonal tips.
