School holidays in France are organised according to three “holiday zones”, A, B and C,  in order to manage the flow of French holidaymakers.

Our region comes under zone C (Montpellier)

ZONE A

Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon, Poitiers.

2nd September 2019 – Rentrée (return to school)
19th October – 4th November 2019 – Toussaint (Autumn half term)
21st December 2019 to 6th January 2020 – Christmas holidays
22nd February – 9th March 2020– February half term term
18th April – 4th May 2020 – Easter holiday
4th July 2020 – Start of summer holiday

ZONE B

Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Caen, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Reims, Rennes, Rouen, Strasbourg

2nd September 2019 – Rentrée (return to school)
19th October – 4th November 2019 – Toussaint (Autumn half term)
21st December 2019 to 6th January 2020– Christmas holidays
15th February to 2nd March 2020 – February half term term
11th  – 27th April  2020 – Easter holiday

ZONE C

Créteil, Montpellier, Paris, Toulouse, Versailles.

8th February to 24th February 2020 – February half term term
