What is Reiki? Reiki is the energy of life imparted by the Reiki practioner whereby he or she lays her hands on the person in a very soft, controlled and gentle way to encourage relaxation and general well-being.

One session alone helps to calm mind and body – by restoring the vital energy within us which enables us to self-heal.

This amazing energy, which we all have, frees us of the tensions and stress that build up continually Inside us. It can greatly assist in helping us feel better in conjunction with traditional médicine.

REIKI is therefore a useful compliment rather than an alternative to medical treatment, as well as being highly beneficial from a healing point of view.

I recently had a Reiki session with Lysiane which lasted approximately half an hour. Sessions vary according to your needs. Worth noting that she offers remote sessions too, ideal if you live far away or cannot get to Perpignan for some reason . Her premises are fresh and very clean and induce a feeling of calm and well-being when you walk in. A friendly and caring person, I found Lysiane’s approach very professional. She began by laying her hands on my forehead – and they remained there for some little time (she will go where her hands guide her in terms of our energy centres – of which we have 7). The sensation of gentle heat was amazing. My eyes moistened and released a flood of tears which is quite normal – and a sign that the body is freeing itself of pent-up emotions. She then moved to my throat area, solar plexis and finally my knees, which also became extremely hot, but not uncomfortably so. My entire body felt light and very relaxed throughout as she worked on my energies – and I didn’t want this luxurious feeling to end. I was treated to a refreshing green tea afterwards to prepare me for the world again – but I know that I will return.
