| Important J’ai reçu hier soir un appel d’un individu s’identifiant comme étant au service de TÉLÉCOM qui effectuait un essai sur les lignes téléphoniques. Il mentionne que pour compléter l’essai, je dois appuyer sur le neuf (9), le zéro (0), la touche dièse (#) et puis raccrocher ! ! ! Heureusement, j’étais méfiant(e) et j’ai refusé(e). En contactant la compagnie de téléphone, j’ai été informé qu’en appuyant sur les touches (9, 0, et #) vous autorisez entièrement l’individu à se servir de votre ligne téléphonique et vous lui permettez de faire des appels interurbains qui seront facturés à votre numéro de téléphone fixe. J’ai également été informé que cette fraude provient de plusieurs prisons.Donc n’appuyez pas sur les touches 9, 0, et #, pour personne !!!Le service de sécurité GTE demande que je partage cette information avec tous ceux et celles que je connais. Après vérification auprès de FRANCE TÉLÉCOM, ils ont confirmé que c’était vrai. Donc à faire circuler SVP !!! |

I received a call last night from an individual identifying himself as working for TELECOM who was conducting a test on telephone lines. He stated that to complete the test, I have to press the nine (9), zero (0), the hash key (#) and then hang up ! ! ! Luckily, I was suspicious and I refused. By contacting the telephone company, I was informed that pressing (9, 0, and #) you allow the individual to fully use your phone line and allow it to make long distance calls will be charged to your landline number. I was also informed that the fraud comes from several prisons.
So do not press keys 9, 0, and # to anyone !
The security service GTE request that I share this information with everyone I know. After checking with FRANCE TELECOM, they confirmed that it was true. So circulate this please !
