There’s something about catching up with an old friend. You can skip the introductions and go straight to “Do you remember when…?”

In The Kingfisher, a new play by David Caddick, it’s Henry and Tom who do the remembering. The two old friends look back on their lives, the people they’ve loved and those they’ve lost. It’s a touching drama with room for laughter, as there so often is when old friends get talking.

Cherry Orchard Theatre will perform the play in English at the Salle Jean Thubert in Montesquieu-des-Albères. There’s a choice of a Saturday evening performance or a Sunday matinée.
