Festival de Cerfs-Volants, Canet-en-Roussillon

The skies above Canet-en-Roussillon will be filled with colour as the Festival de Cerfs-Volants (Kite Festival) returns to the beach on 21 April 2026.

Taking place on the seafront at Plage Centrale, the event brings together kite enthusiasts and families for a day of impressive aerial displays and seaside entertainment. Visitors can watch a variety of kites take flight, from traditional designs to larger artistic creations dancing in the Mediterranean breeze.

The festival is also a popular event for families, with activities and workshops for children offering the chance to discover the fun of kite flying and enjoy a lively day by the sea. With the beach as its backdrop and spring sunshine often on its side, the Canet Kite Festival has become a colourful highlight of the local events calendar.
