Festival de Sardanes

Witness the impressive spectacle of the sardane competitions in the Céret arena, with ‘colles’ (sardane dance troupes) from all over Catalonia, dressed in traditional costume and strutting their stuff around the streets of old Céret in between competitions.

Music, dancing,  fun and traditional Catalan summer entertainment in the boulevards with brass bands, gegants, grallers i cap grossos, processions through the streets……

As you see from this old poster, the festival has been going for many years, 65 to be precise, and like our region’s fine wines, the party just gets better with age.
